State: Alabama

Story: I have not gone to court yet. However, I was driving down Highway 59. This is a VERY busy highway it runs through the whole of Baldwin County. It is also a four lane highway. The speed usually is 55. I was going 62. The thing is, traffic was passing me. I drive a white ford E-150 full size van for work. I put computer systems in for the School System. I was passing a School thinking about what I need to do there. I forgot that between the hours of 2:30 - 3:15 that the speed limit became 35! The sign was small and the TIMES were REAL SMALL. I didnt even see the sign. There was also NO FLASHING LIGHT nothing, to get my attention. Also, I even saw the Alabama State Patrol from a distance so I knew he was there. I assume he wouldnt pull me over, because of the other cars passing me and also because it was just 7 miles over the speed limit. BOY was I wrong he pull ME over! I tried to explain to him I was not "intentionally" try to break the LAW that bad. I even ask and said the word "mercy". He laugh. So now I HAVE TO go to court. I can only hope that the Judge will listen to me. Hopefully, go easy on me.
