From: shiha44@hotmail.com on Tuesday, July 7, 1998 State: California Story: I was driving down a street, one I remembered to be a 45 mph zone. I was trying to maintain 45-50 mph, when suddenly another car, almost side swiping me, cuts me off and zooms off at what must of been 65-70 mph. A police officer immediately pulls up behind me and turns his lights on. Thinking he was going to go after the speed demon I pulled over to the other lane, but he then pulled over with me. He was pulling me over. He said it was a 40 mph zone and I was going way to fast. Which was funny because besides me, the speeder, and the cop there was not a person or other car in sight. The cop in a half stupor, obviously not wanting to chase the other guy down or look like he wasn't doing anything, pulled me over. I'm still not sure whether that was indeed a 40mph zone. One thing is for sure, however, I'm stuck with the bill. |
