From: Laura Kerr on Thursday, December 3, 1998

State: California

Story: Driving down to help my daughter (in college) with car problems; have a new jeep and out on an open road, no one around, I'm trying to figure out how to use cruise control. The CHP has radar and cites me for 78 in a 55. I told him I'd never had cruise, he asked if the car was new, it seemed he was on a power trip. The cost of the ticket is $145.00, plus $33.00 fee to sign up for traffic school so the insurance won't go up, $10.00 for paperwork, and traffic school is extra charge including my time.

Thanks for listening.
