From: Pete on Wednesday, July 14, 1999 State: California Story: During a traffic safety course taught by a CHP Officer in Orange County he asked for a show of hands if any one had ever been stopped by a "Chippy". About 20 out of the 65 people in the class raised their hands. He then asked all of the people that were given a verbal warning by a CHP officer to keep their hand raised. I looked around and their was only one hand still raised. He then asked that women if she could stay after at the break so he could get the officer's name and I.D. to report him for not issuing the women a ticket. He smiled, laughed and said he was just kidding. I don't think he was. My question is why are CHP officer's such hard asses when it comes down to giving a verbal warning instead of writing a ticket. Am I alone on this or am I just ticked off with the CHP officer's I have met on the freeways. Let me hear from you |
