From: Norm Pryor on Monday, March 8, 1999

State: Florida

Story: On March 6, 1999 while traveling on a sunny florida day, I was pulled over and citated for a window tint violation. The officer metered my window and stated it was at 8% visability. Florida law requires a 28% visability range. The car was a 1993 Isuzu Rodeo. It had a factory installed window film inside the glass and I installed an extra layer of tint. The same tint was used throughout the entire vehicle. I asked the officer to check the rear windows.

After he did, he stated that they were in compliance with the law? How the hell is that? Same tint, same window? What to do now? It's only a $44 dollar ticker, but I have been stopped before in the vehicle and never given a citation for it. I have owned the care new since 93 and diven it daily.

Any suggestions?

p.s. the cop is known for being a D#%k. Even by other cops.

Thanks for the venting session,

Sincerely, Norm Pryor.
