State: Georgia

Story: I came over a hill in a 45 mph zone doing 65....I was rolling down a mile long steep hill when I saw a white, unmarked car in a turning lane. He had at least 1500 feet and i wondered why he hadn't turned. He turned his lights on and pulled me over. Here in Georgia, a teenage driver is the most horrible offense to any police officer. I was matching this old lady in a Buicks speed at least 2500 feet back, he didnt even notice her but as soon as I came over the hill, my life was over. 16 years old and my first ticket.

Story: It was my son. Ticketed for 71 in a 45 zone, 1 mph enough to pull his license until he's 18. As he stated, seems like being a teenager is the worst crime you can commit in GA these days. He doesn't deny exceding the limit, but the cop is trying to "ground" him - my job, not the state's. If anyone can offer some advice on getting this reduced - I'll pay the fine, but don't want his license pulled - please email me. Thanks.
