From: John on Thursday, August 13, 1998

State: New York

Story: Caught driving 51 in a 30. Recently seen a news report that said if a sign is improperly posted {such as on a telephone pole} that you may be able to fight it in court. According to this report, NY State Code states that signs must be on metal poles at least 7 feet off the ground, if it is not displayed in this manner, legally you can do 55 mph. Is this true?

I pleaded "Not Guilty", but need more information to prove this in court.
