From: Lookout on Saturday, December 5, 1998

State: Pennsylvania

Story: it was 8:30 am and I was casually taking my Sat drive into work to do some paperwork cleanup. The State Police were at one of the most common hideouts atop the Perkasie bridge on Rt 309 and Lawn Ave I knew they were there because I had justed rec'd flashing lites from a southbound car. I put the mercedes on cruises control at 55mph, the limit; down from an admittedly 64mph. I spotted him at the top of the bridge, and began to go back up to 60-62 after going by. I proceeded about 3/4 mi while flashing my headlights at southbound traffic. I was surprised to see him behind me whereupon I pulled over.

He said I was going 81MPH; I said absolutely NO WAY and I got the ticket. Obviously, he must have spotted me flashing the headlites or just liked to give tickets to high end cars.

I intend to appeal at least thru Common Pleas.

Rt 309 between Hatfield and Allentown is a continuous stretch of speed traps by an overstaffed taxpayer fed police force with too much time on their hands and out of touch with real criminal activity......BEWARE!!!
