Story: I was going on I40 heading toward the 440W and I24W split, near the Briley Pkwy, exit. It was 12:30 A.M., on a cold Sunday morning. I was going approx 70mph in a 55 mph zone & there were no other cars within viewing distance. The interstate was pitch dark (except for my own headlights). I saw a police car parked on the shoulder approx. 100yd in front of my position. I hit the brakes and decreased my speed to approx 60. I saw the police car turn on his lights and i pulled over. Was there anything i could have done?
